Q1 2020 Market Report

Image of Press Release #707

As we move into a new revised Shelter-in-Place here in Monterey County, there is some good news for Real Estate! Effective May 4th, we will be able to perform in person showings under strict guidelines even if the house is furnished and under certain circumstances even if it is occupied. As always, we must do as much as possible virtually. Showing a property in person comes with some social distancing and safety guidelines including: scheduling in advance, getting certain forms signed, limiting to one agent +2 clients from the same household at a time, wearing gloves, masks and booties, asking that no one touches anything, and cleaning before and after the showing. While it seems extreme, these measures will allow us to move forward with Real Estate transactions while still keeping our community safe and healthy! The wonderful news is how much we can do virtually and all the tools we now have to do virtual tours, videos, FaceTime, Zoom, and other means to stay connected and informed. Our brokerage also runs and tracks comprehensive market data and what the the Real Estate Market climate is and where it is expected to go. That being said, we have had many visits to our web sites, requests for showings and continuing interest in homes. We are hopeful that once we are opened up, we will be able to return to the active market we had before the Virus arrived. In the event you are thinking about changing your living arrangement or updating your current living quarters, please feel free to contact me. We can have a visit at your convenience and I will promise you all the benefits of my years of professional experience, my knowledge of the area along with excellent personal care and communication.
